I will document my journey in digitizing German city directories in this blog, using simple OCR methods.
Blogs are a wonderful outlet for quick academic dissemination without having to go through conferences/talks, or constant updating of draft papers.
I will also post updates on the progress for those interested in using this dataset in the future.
